Carolyn Terry worked in the fashion industry for many years and after selling her retail establishment in 1987, she opened a full-time photography studio. Since then she has strived to improve her skills and develop her own unique style which is apparent in her photographs.

Carolyn has studied photography at the New York Institute of Photography, the Winona Institute, South West Texas State University, the University of Texas, North Carolina State University, and the Delta School of Professional Photography.

Ms Terry is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Inc. and is a Certified Professional. In 2001 she was presented the Photographic Craftsman Degree by PPA in recognition for her contributions to the profession of photography through continuing education, sharing knowledge with fellow photographers and promoting excellence in imagery and business practices. Many of her images have been accepted for exhibit at the Professional Photographers of America International conventions.

Carolyn is also a member of the South Eastern United States Professional Photographers of America who has recognized her works by placing her images in their Court of Honor. Closer to home, she is a member of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi/Alabama where she has been awarded best in bridal portraiture.

In addition to operating her full time photography studio, Carolyn has been a staff photographer for Pre-Teen America, Inc. for the past fourteen years. She is recognized as an outstanding photographer and is highly recommended by many of the regional directors as well as the national director. Along her way from Maine to California, she has photographed many Pre-Teen America National title holders, several Ms Americas, and Mrs Mississippis as well as numerous celebrities.

Carolyn Terry is a well known name in the photogenic competitions that her clients have won across the country. Her unique, artistic style shows both emotion and feeling... all of this combined places her work far above the ordinary.
